AFP (Association of Financial Professionals) 2007…Back in 2011!

The AFP represents a network of 16,000 treasury and financial professionals. In 2007, Boston hosted their annual conference. The arrival of AFP in the city of innovative thinking was celebrated with a variety of nightly events in historic venues that encourage inspiration.

NXTevent implemented three fabulous soirees. The well-known Harvard Club, which was established in 1976, welcomed members in a luxurious atmosphere. Clients walked the red carpet, enjoyed magnificent views and sampled a gourmet selection of appetizers.

The Boston Public Library was set up for the second event. Karaoke music was accompanied by a light buffet hosted by Sebastians Caterers. Beautiful lighting animated the rooms, courtyard and the terrace.

On the final night, AFP attended a Boston Pops performance at the Boston Symphony Hall for a delightful evening enjoying the sounds of great American music through the ages.

AFP will return to Boston at the BCEC in 2011. At that time, the Welcome Reception will be focused on elevation — guests will witness amazing feats by local aerialists and contortionists. The corporate responsibility and urban consciousness will be raised by an “urban green” theme as local artists create graffiti to remind the cityscape and the infamous Recycled Percussions will entertain with their electrifying rhythm. The evening promises to be a fun-filled event to welcome and entertain those members of AFP who have been ” hands-on” after a fulfilling day of community service in Boston.

Objectives:
Design and manage a three-nights event
Create a festive atmosphere in uncommon places

NECA 2010

The National Electrical Contractors Association has been bringing power, light and communication technology across the United States for well over a century.

The NECA’s 2010 Convention and Trade Show aimed to present an incredible array of opportunities for the continually growing and changing electrical construction industry. As one of the most historical cities in the United States, Boston was obviously a great place to examine the past and plan for the future.

NECA needed their destination management partner to focus on the leisure end of their journey in Boston. NXTevent implemented a great Welcome Reception in the perfect location, Jillians restaurant, where guests enjoyed an amazing view of Boston’s historic Fenway Park. NECA was then introduced to the Bostonian lifestyle thanks to a Clam Chowder Smackdown between two well-known chefs. The BCEC turns into a scene from the famous show, Top Chef and the 500 person audience tasted the clam chowder and voted for the winner.

Objectives:
Offering a unique Boston experience
Engaging NECA audience in the Event

Client Quote:
“Everything indicates that we had one of the best opening receptions in NECA History! It’s been so nice over this year to have established such a nice relationship/friendship with you and your staff. This is what makes my job so special being able to work with great people like yourselves”

SISO 2010

The August 2010 SISO Executive Conference was hosted in Boston at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. The City of Boston was a great choice for the purpose of informing SISO Members about “The Business Revolution” and the importance of dealing with the new economy, future generations and new technologies. Thus the closing event would focus on Creativity, Novelty and Inspiration.

For this event, NXTevent turned the BCEC Ballroom Foyer into a chic environment inviting guests to play, listen, create and taste. An array of Wii and Ipad stations were set up to encourage sporting and gaming experiences. The variety of interactive entertainment and the molecular gastronomy arose both curiosity and contemplation and encouraged the guests to think outside the box.

Objectives:
Provide the group with a fun and memorable evening
Boost creativity, offering something brand new to the trade show industry

INTA 2010

The International Trademark Association wanted to come to “the Athens of America” in 2010 to begin their Annual Meeting. During this five-day event, the objective was to create five days of Fun, Fun and more Fun combined with a bit of work.

During Modern Supper Club themed The Black Tie Gala and Award Ceremony, INTA travelled back in time to the 30’s and 40’s to enjoy a night of premiere dining, exiting entertainment and amazing networking values.

For this evening, NXTevent came up with the concept “Clarity”. The set up for the tables and rooms gave a sense of trendy but Zen.

Objectives:
Showing our client that Boston is a premiere place to meet
Combining business with pleasure during a five-day event
Deliver a custom-made Black Tie Gala with an award ceremony
